CX83 Labs began with a simple belief: technology should make work easier and give people more time for what matters. Our founder, Mike Hankins, spent nearly two decades in nursing and hospice care, where he saw how disconnected systems, repetitive tasks, and complicated workflows could pull attention away from the people who needed it most. He began studying software engineering to solve problems he knew firsthand, and as he learned to build and connect tools, he recognized that small businesses and community organizations were facing many of the same challenges.
That idea grew into CX83 Labs, a company focused on making websites, software, AI, and automation work together in ways that are practical, understandable, and useful. CX83 isn't about making people dependent on sophisticated technology. It's about making sophisticated technology accessible so people can become more independent.
For someone opening a boutique, turning a garage workshop into a business, or leading a nonprofit with limited resources, this can mean a website they can update, tools that share information, and more time to focus on the people and work they care about.
CX83 started with Mike's experience, but its approach is collaborative, drawing on a network of engineers, developers, family collaborators, and trusted independent specialists as each project requires. Our commitment to accessibility also means giving back through donated services and support for nonprofits and emerging organizations doing meaningful work without large budgets.
Whether a customer wants a one time setup, a custom build, or optional ongoing support, our measure of success is simple: they understand their system, retain meaningful control, and have more time for what matters.
